I have taken some time to develop the physical design of my machine.
This model has tangible dimensions, and can be deconstructed into its constituent parts. You can download this model here, Please have fun exploring it further in SketchUp.This blog documents the progression of my first large scale physical computing project.
THE PROJECT: build a full size arduino controlled electronic skeeball machine from scratch.

Concept
I will base my machine on the awesome SketchUp model "Skee-ball arcade game" by Gozer.

Welcome
Welcome everybody!
Today I am going to begin my first large scale physical computing project. Physical computing is using software and hardware to build systems and devices that can interact with our world.
The device I am going to build is a full size electronic skeeball machine. I intend to use this blog to document the project's progression, and I hope I can do this in such a way that is helpful to readers that are both familiar and unfamiliar with the concepts of physical computing.
Since this machine will be build from scratch, I need to complete the following:

Since this machine will be build from scratch, I need to complete the following:
- figure out a concept and a design
- determine desired functionality
- program desired functionality
- test components and debug program
- integrate electrical system
- develop a working mechanical system
- physical construction
